Anwar Confirms Jalan Bangka Fire Victims Well Assisted

Mayor Anwar said the construction of 16 homes affected by the fire is being carried out through collaboration between South Jakarta Baznas (Bazis) and PT Malahayati's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

He expressed gratitude and relief that residents have finally received certainty regarding the rebuilding of their homes.

"We are very grateful, especially the fire victims, as there is now clarity that their homes will be rebuilt," he stated on Tuesday (3/3).

Anwar explained that construction is targeted for completion within three months with a budget of around Rp1 billion.

"This area revitalization program proves that funds collected by Baznas (Bazis) from the public can be channeled back for the benefit of the community," he added.

He noted that funds sourced from zakat, infaq and alms have been used for various social programs, including home renovations, neighborhood revitalization and assistance to redeem withheld school diplomas.

Achmad Yani also expressed gratitude for the realization of the housing reconstruction for fire victims.

He said collaboration between the regional administration, Baznas (Bazis), and the private sector through CSR is key to helping residents affected by disasters.

"We hope residents can soon return to their homes, feel at ease and resume their daily activities. Collaboration among all parties remains key," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, a representative of the fire survivors, Afri, conveyed appreciation to all parties involved and hoped rebuilt homes would offer better, healthier living conditions with proper air circulation.

"May those who helped receive blessings. We hope to return home in better conditions and greater well-being," he said.
